Buiese Distillery

We know how to recognize good things, well-made, straightforward, and honest. As simple as it is essential to produce excellent quality grappas and artisanal liqueurs.

Because within every one of our glasses, there is a big heart, a lot of hard work, and a pinch of talent.

Three generations of distillers. The patriarch, Giuseppe Buiese, after an apprenticeship in a famous liquor store in Milan, purchased the first distillery near Martignacco in 1918 from Conte Miani.

In 1962, his son Remo expanded its capacity to meet the growing demand for grappas.

Today, the tradition continues with Cristiano, the third generation (VIDEO INTERVIEW BELOW), a graduate in Food Science and Technology. His passion for this craft, his natural curiosity for innovation, and the pursuit of new taste experiences are bringing great satisfaction, with high-quality products that have won prestigious awards, serving as ambassadors for this "noble" form of Friulian craftsmanship worldwide.

Amaro Lusor

Born in 2009 through the reworking of an ancient recipe exclusively owned by Buiese Distilleries, combined with experimentation conducted by the research group of the Department of Food Sciences at the University of Udine.

This bitter liqueur features Gentiana Lutea as its distinctive ingredient (known to the Latins as Kikenda, meaning little light—hence the origin of the name), whose flowers are indeed as yellow as the sun!
