A long time ago, shepherds from Abruzzo noticed that sheep, once satiated after grazing, went to lick some particular roots continuously. 


Over time, this curious habit made them realize that there were biological agents in the roots that stimulated the biliary tract, aiding the animals' digestion.


From this very special story, the "Sheep's Gentian'' was born; produced by the company with a very special name: #Scuppoz,


This word, in fact, was used in the Castellana Valley in Abruzzo to indicate the "popping of glasses" as an invitation to toast and celebration.


Gentian root infusion in Trebbiano D'Abruzzo white wine is made from a blend of 3 hand-cut roots from 3 different mountains, harvested at 3 different altitudes.


With a broad root scent, it gives a strong taste that is pleasing to the palate.

Perfect at the end of a meal.
